I read in the FP Magazine of March 1910 (p437-438) a quote of Dr Warfield referring to Calvin and his great contribution to theology:
‘above everything else, it is the sense of the sovereign working of salvation by the almighty power of the Holy Spirit which characterises all Calvin’s thought of God.’
Hearing of others today, 99 years later, attempting to condense Calvin’s work, they say they were struck by the ’sovereignty of God, throughout Calvin’s writings’.
What consistency!

This was the first photo I grabbed, and none of the rest were as good. Does anyone else get this, where 80% of the time the first photo is always the best, whether in focus, or composition, or anything?

I didn’t balance the lighting very well, but it was only the pop-up flash I was using. I like the concept, but can’t be bothered refining the lighting unless I have some decent lighting gear *cough cough*.

I stepped into our aviary to test a £80ish point and shoot I ordered off the web for my sister. It could perform poorly, but in some areas it was quite good. I’ve never got the canaries eating my shoes when I have my DSLR

Flickr give us more control over formatting blog posts now , they used to only offer it to those who paid. I now don’t have to enter every post and change it so the photo is centered . I wish they’d incorporate a tag matching now

A male House Sparrow. I’d thought I was moving too much as I spun round to fire off some shots. I didn’t even open them when I got them on computer, but then one day, with some spare time, I went through photos culling them a bit heavier, and I found this gem. I could try for a year, and perhaps not get a better photo of one.
