Whiskers and a nut, my first good VR shot

By the time I had the camera out, he’d ran off. Creeping in close to the tree I could see him, but it was rather dark. A few shots were blurred when I remembered I had the VR, and it gave some nice results :)

The full sized image where the individual whiskers are beautifully sharp.

Using VR is a bit disconcerting at first with a few wee sounds, but it works long enough to get the photo :) . Its an optical vibration reduction (or rather vibration compensation is probably more appropriate), so there is an element in the lens that moves.
