Even if I do say so myself, its mostly down to two things.
Firstly, I’ve got a rather good new 55-200mm lens. It really suits my style of photography, and in good lighting it performs superbly.
Secondly, I read on some blog or photography website in the past few weeks, that simply sorting photos using the levels and curves tools gives 90% of the improvement you will get, and its really correct. I don’t normally have the time to fuss around checking the histogram on camera as I want to make sure my subject is properly exposed.
The photo was through the car’s closed sunroof on a recent journey down the A9. Funnily enough, I don’t think I did anything to this photo. It is straight out the camera like that.
