Whole point of this, is it was made entirely using free programs that are available to anyone. Mostly they used a 3D modelling program called Blender.

totally cool texturing on that there fur! Would like to see how thats done. Its not just blender they use, some of the other programs I aint never heard of before I was on their site for elephants dream recently.
