One of the talks given by Rev David Silversides from Loughbrickland Reformed Presbyterian to their monthly fellowship meeting:

A very interesting talk, starting with the credibility of the Scottish Psalter, and a history of how it came to be. Mr Silversides then deals with how historically we can see that new revised Psalters have not strengthened the position of psalm singing in many denominations, but rather the opposite has happened in many examples. The Scottish Psalter was never intended to be continually under revision but rather correct and suitable for all, forever.
Well worth a listen, and a suitable warning against putting away the things of old which are far superior to what replaces them. As Mr Silversides says ~ if they didn’t like the old version, why should they like the new?
